HWGG is a not for profit community interest company. We have no paid employees and rely on membership fees, volunteer effort and applying for grants to keep us afloat and going forward. We hope to be self sustaining eventually. If you are keen to help, and cannot become a member or volunteer,
please consider a donation . Your money will be carefully used and we will be happy to tell you how.

The Hafod mansion walled garden was originally designed in the 18th century for Thomas Johnes. He was a keen researcher and importer of seeds from all over the world, growing many varieties and winning many awards.
We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that aims to develop the walled garden to grow vegetables, fruit and trees; all done with biodiversity in mind. We also want to promote learning about horticulture by hosting courses and supporting people from near and far to grow in their own gardens.
Different levels of membership are available and we also accept donations of any size.
-
Full membership - £22 a calendar month
-
Associate membership - £10 a quarter
(Fees have been set for this year to support start-up costs. We hope to reduce fees in future years).
Benefits of membership include:
a share of the produce grown, access to gardening advice, 10% discount on courses, involvement in decision making (full members only).
